Resin or filament for your project?

Resin printing

A route to discuss for fine-detail miniatures, character models and decorative sculptures. Tell us the final size and the small features you want to preserve.

Filament (FDM) printing

A route to discuss for practical shapes, larger models and prototypes. Explain how the part will be used, including fit, loads, temperature or outdoor exposure.

Not sure which to choose? Leave the printing method as “Not sure yet” in the form. We’ll discuss the material and method before agreeing the work; no specific strength or tolerance is promised without reviewing your project.

For a useful prototype or batch quote

  • Explain whether this is a visual model, fit check or part intended for use.
  • Mark critical dimensions and list the quantity of each part, rather than only the number of files.
  • Tell us about expected revisions or repeat batches. Material suitability is checked for the particular use.

Know what you’re agreeing to. Material, quantity, finish, price and production timing are discussed before printing. Typical production is approximately three days, depending on project size. Worldwide delivery is additional and quoted for the destination.

Test an idea or make a short run

PrintBrothersCo offers prototype and small-batch 3D printing from Taunton, Somerset, with worldwide shipping. Whether you need a first physical model or several versions of a design, explain what you want to learn or produce and we will review the project with you.

A visual model, a fit check and a functional part can have very different requirements. Tell us how the print will be used rather than selecting a material on appearance alone. Resin and FDM printing can be discussed according to the model and intended use.

Give us the details that affect the result

  • Supply the model files and overall dimensions in millimetres.
  • List the quantity of each part and identify any design revisions.
  • Mark critical dimensions, mating surfaces and clearance requirements.
  • Explain any expected loads, heat exposure or outdoor use.
  • Describe your preferred appearance and any finishing needs.

We will discuss suitability before confirming the work. Do not assume a decorative printing material is suitable for load-bearing, heat-critical or safety-critical use. Material properties and fit requirements need to be considered for the specific project.

From one part to a small batch

A first print can help you review shape and scale before committing to more copies. If you expect revisions, explain that in your enquiry. For a batch, provide a clear part list so the quote reflects the required quantity rather than simply the number of uploaded files.

The colourful cats shown here illustrate a small batch with different finishes. They are not a claim about engineering tolerances or performance. Your own material and finish will be agreed separately.

Files, pricing and turnaround

Upload STL, OBJ or 3MF models, or share an accessible download link. STEP files, reference drawings and archives can also be supplied for review. Tell us which file is the latest version and whether a drawing contains the dimensions that must be checked.

Quotes depend on the design, dimensions, quantities, material and finishing work. Typical production turnaround is approximately three days, depending on project size, with timing confirmed in your quote. Delivery time is additional. Include your delivery country and any deadline so we can discuss worldwide shipping for the project. No payment is required to enquire.
